Wallace Park

Overview

Paola’s Wallace Park began in 1910 with 12 acres and in 1912 an additional 30 acres was added. The Park is located at Osage Street and Wallace Park Drive and offers a variety of recreational activities including a playground, bike path, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds. There are also picnic shelters available. The Paola Family Swimming Pool is also located at Wallace Park.

The newest addition to Wallace Park is a skate board park. The skate park is 90 feet by 45 feet and contains a number of challenging ramps, half pipes, and other features. The park was made possible through the generosity of the Baher Foundation.

Wallace Park is also adjacent to the Miami County Fairgrounds. The Miami County Fair is held during the last week of July each year and includes livestock exhibits, a carnival, a first class rodeo, and the very popular demolition derby.
