Council Meetings


Paola City Council Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month. This is the official business meeting of the City and minutes are taken at these meeting. Council Meetings begin at 6:00 pm and are held at the Municipal Court Room at the Paola Justice Center located at 805 North Pearl Street. View a map of this location.


Due to federal, state, and local guidelines regarding social distancing and crowd size in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, public meetings and public comment during public meetings may require modification.  Meetings are broadcast live via YouTube and public comment may be submitted to City Hall prior to the meeting.  


Work Study Sessions


The City Council also meets for Work Study Sessions. These meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month. However, due to scheduling and agenda issues, meetings are not always held each month. This is an information sharing meeting and no action on city business takes place, therefore minutes are not taken at these meetings.


Work Study Sessions begin at 6:00 pm and are usually held at City Hall in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 19 E Peoria Street. View a map of this location. From time to time, work study meetings may be held at alternate locations.


Open Meetings


All meetings of the Paola City Council and all Work Study Sessions are public meetings and anyone is welcome to attend.
