Emergency Preparedness

The City of Paola has procedures in place to assess, evaluate, and respond to emergency situations of any type. The city also participates with the Miami County Division of Emergency Management in preparing for emergency situations.

Emergency/Weather Sirens

The City of Paola has nine Emergency/Weather Sirens located throughout the city to notify residence of severe weather or other emergency situations.  See the map for the location and coverage areas for each of the sirens.

Emergency Notification

The City is participating with Miami County in the Everbridge Emergency Communications Network. Everbridge is a reverse 9-1-1 emergency notification system that calls you on your phone to notify you that an emergency situation exists. All listed residential and business phone numbers are automatically set to receive emergency notification. If you would like to enroll your unlisted phone number or your cell phone number, please visit the Everbridge website.
